"Exitus Acta Probat (The Result Justifies the Deed)"
— Graigan Family Creed

Cael Graigan was a Sergeant in the Imperial Army.

Background

Cael Tyradis Graigan is the only child of Danielle and Belenus Graigan, wealthy industrialists, born in the twilight years of the Galactic Republic.

Early Life

Cael grew up in a sheltered environment in his parent's villa in the mountains of Corellia. With his parents both usually away on business trips, his butler became his caretaker. Due to this, he felt a great disconnect from his own parents.

Teenage Years

When Cael was sixteen, his mother was shot in the streets of Coruscant by a Rebel "hit" squad due to the Graigan's corporation being contracted by the Empire. She pulled through the initial incident, but died of complications years down the road. Enraged, his father hired bounty hunters to hunt down this hit squad. All of them, save one, met their ends.

Belenus, afraid this may happen to the heir of his company, tasked his bodyguards to train Cael in military-grade self-defense techniques, such as marksmanship, survival, and close quarters combat. These skills would be crucial in the years to come.

The "Accident"

January 26th, Year 6 - February 27th, Year 6

Taking over his mother's position after her death, Cael was on business trips constantly. On a particular trip to Coruscant, he was involved in a crash. The ship's power system suddenly failed and he plummeted to the ground of the Coruscant Spacesport. He crashed left him with some burns, major adhesion, and blinded him.

As Cael recovered in a Bacta tank, another wealthy industrialist, a friend of his family and major stockholder, bumped up Cael's name on a recipients list for a cybernetic iris. His sight restored, he began his recovery. However, after digging into what happened to him, he discovered that he was sabotaged by one of his own mechanical team. Cael eventually hunted down this mechanic, tracking him to an abandoned building in Corellia's industrial sector. This mechanic was the missing sixth man of the hit squad that killed his mother. After discovering this, he shot him dead.

With his new found eyesight, he began upgrading his cybernetics. Eventually, he integrated a neural interlace into it, allowing him to access computer systems.

The Fall

September 18th, Year 10 - October 7th, Year 10

Cael readjusted to life with his new-found sight fairly quickly. The only reminder of his brush with death was his eyes and a small, arched, scar above his brow. While life was going smooth, it wouldn't remain smooth for long.

After a series of riots on the planet Artheduinor, headquarters to the Graigan's corporation, in the Altarrn system, the government was overthrown and defected to the New Republic. Due to the corporation's allegiance to the Empire, it became an immediate target by thousands of Anti-Imperialists. This mob, armed to the teeth by the local government, attacked the compound on September 20th. Cael had meager security forces on site, because a local Imperial garrison always secured it.

So, outmanned and outgunned, they began a desperate effort to fend off the enemy long enough for an escape. The attack was routed for a week, until NR reinforcements arrived and began bombing the compound. In a stroke of luck, an Imperial patrol found them just in time and extracted the remaining personnel.

Cael had several stockpiles scattered across the Galaxy in case of such an occasion, with weapons, credits, ships, and droids that he used to get back on his feet.

Personality and Traits

Often, even in the heat of battle, he is making fun of the situation. Sarcasm, in particular, is one of his talents.

His eyes are "Ghost Eye" optical implants that allow him to see in the dark, run a heads-up-display (HUD), and interface with his weapon's reticule.

Cael enjoys smoking "Sweet William" brand cigars, manufactured by his uncle's company.
