Founding and Early Success (Year 24)
Chandrila Boloball Club was founded in Year 24 for the 23rd season of the Imperial Boloball League (IBL). The club was established by Everard de Montfort who had recently transferred from the Corporate Sector following service and sporting ventures in that region. Prior to founding Chandrila BC, de Montfort held ownership stakes in Dromund Kaas BC and Montfort BC, providing him with experience in both boloball operations and club development.
Upon its formation, Chandrila BC entered the league as a fully professional outfit, and quickly made a mark by capturing the IBL title in its inaugural season. This immediate success established the club as a serious contender and helped forge a lasting identity rooted in excellence and strategic discipline. The early years were defined by elegant, organized play and a growing supporter base in the Gladean Parks region of Chandrila, where the club established its home at Gladean Park.
Competitive Growth and the Vandor Rivalry (Year 24 – Year 26)
During the mid-IBL era, Chandrila BC maintained a competitive presence and developed a strong rivalry with Vandor Vanguard. The two sides faced off multiple times in high-stakes matches, including pivotal league fixtures and Emperor’s Cup encounters. The rivalry became particularly pronounced following their dramatic title race in IBL Season 23 and a series of contentious matches over the subsequent seasons.
The club’s trajectory was impacted by the broader instability in the IBL during the sabotage scandals of Season 25, which affected several clubs and intensified tensions across the league. Though Chandrila BC continued to compete through IBL Season 28, the club faced growing internal and financial challenges. These culminated in a temporary dissolution, as the organization entered administration for undisclosed reasons. The club ceased operations following its withdrawal from league play.
Reformation and Imperial Union League Era (Year 26 - Present)
Chandrila BC was later reformed and revived ahead of the founding of the Imperial Union League, with Everard de Montfort once again at the helm as principal owner. The revival marked a return to professional competition and a renewed commitment to both athletic excellence and cultural representation. With the club’s reentry into the galactic boloball scene, Chandrila BC reestablished itself in the top tier of the sport and began to rebuild its reputation and standing.
The modern era has seen significant investment in infrastructure and talent development, including the expansion of Gladean Park and the recruitment of promising young players. While the Vandor Vanguard–Herglic Wailords rivalry has since become the most prominent fixture in the league, matches between Chandrila BC and Vandor Vanguard continue to be seen as a clash of historic giants and a rekindling of one of boloball’s most storied rivalries.
Colours and Badge
Chandrila Boloball Club’s traditional colors are sky blue, black, and white, reflecting the serene natural beauty of Chandrila and the club’s composed. The team’s primary kits feature sky blue shirts with black trim, typically paired with black shorts and white socks, while alternate kits often reverse or vary the palette for contrast during away matches.
The club’s badge is a circular crest emblazoned with a bold, interlocking “CH” monogram at its center. The monogram is set in black against a white background, enclosed by a sky blue ring bearing the full name of the club: Chandrila Boloball Club. Two small black dots flank the sides of the ring, balancing the minimalist design and evoking the twin Chandrilan moons of Chandra and Chandrakant.
Stadium
Gladean Park serves as the home ground of Chandrila Boloball Club and is situated in the heart of the Gladean Parks district, a scenic area renowned for its natural beauty and civic heritage.
Originally built to accommodate 150,000 fans, the stadium underwent a major expansion project in Year 24 that raised its capacity to 175,000. The redevelopment included a complete overhaul of the matchday experience, with new open-air concourses, a full 360-degree holoscreen, and upgraded premium seating throughout the venue. Enhanced training facilities, locker rooms, and media centers were also added to support the club’s return to prominence on the galactic stage.
Beyond the stadium itself, the club is developing a vibrant new district around Gladean Park, featuring restaurants, shops, hotels, and luxury residences. This large-scale project reflects the club’s ambitions both on and off the pitch, reinforcing its commitment to excellence and its role as a cultural cornerstone of Chandrila.
Support
Chandrila Boloball Club is supported by a devoted and widespread fanbase, drawing not only from its homeworld of Chandrila but also from across the Core Worlds. The club's supporters are recognized for their strong sense of civic pride, respectful conduct, and enduring commitment to both the sport and the values traditionally associated with Chandrilan culture—composure, unity, and resilience.
The club’s widely used nickname, The Parkmen, originates from Gladean Park, the team's home ground, and has since become synonymous with the identity of the club and its followers. The term is employed regularly in chants, media coverage, and merchandise, and serves as a point of collective identification for supporters. Many fans also refer to the larger fan community as The Glade, referencing both the stadium and the broader connection to the natural landscapes of Chandrila.
Matchdays at Gladean Park are characterized by a vibrant yet orderly atmosphere. While supporters are known for their passion, there is also a distinctive dignity and formality to their demonstrations of loyalty. Chants and songs are carefully curated and passed down through generations, and visual displays are often coordinated to reflect club heritage and regional identity. Large tifo banners, color mosaics, and choreographed pre-match rituals are a regular feature of home fixtures, particularly during key league matches and cup ties. The supporter culture of Chandrila BC is diverse, encompassing a variety of organized groups. Among the most prominent are the Gladean Loyalists, a family-oriented group that emphasizes community outreach and youth engagement, and the Park End Ultras, a more fervent collective located behind the south goal known for leading chants and maintaining a continuous vocal presence throughout matches. Despite their differing styles, these groups share a mutual respect and a common purpose in supporting the club both on and off the pitch.
Rivalries
Chandrila Boloball Club maintains a number of competitive fixtures across the Imperial Union League, but its most historically significant rivalry has been with Vandor Vanguard. Though Vandor's most frequently contested modern rivalry is with the Herglic Wailords, the origins of the Vandor–Chandrila rivalry date back to the late Imperial Boloball League (IBL) era and remain a defining chapter in the early competitive histories of both clubs.
The rivalry was first established during IBL Season 23, when the two sides met for the first time at Gladean Park, with Chandrila BC earning a 4–2 victory against a depleted Vandor side. The reverse fixture later that season at Training Grounds Arena served as a potential title decider, ending in a dramatic draw after a late equalizer by Vandor's Oskar Matejko. Chandrila BC would ultimately claim their first IBL championship that season, finishing just one point ahead of Vandor Vanguard, a result that cemented competitive tensions between the clubs.
The rivalry intensified in IBL Season 24, as Vandor captured the league title with Chandrila once again in close pursuit. That same season, Chandrila BC eliminated Vandor from the opening round of the revived Emperor’s Cup, further stoking mutual resentment between the fanbases. The relationship between the two clubs became more strained following the sabotage scandals of IBL Season 25, which--despite affecting multiple clubs--fueled long-standing suspicions and animosity among supporters.
While the rivalry began to wane during Chandrila BC’s decline and eventual dissolution following IBL Season 28, it has experienced renewed relevance with the club’s reestablishment and continued presence in the Imperial Union League. Although Vandor’s modern rivalry with the Herglic Wailords now dominates much of the contemporary boloball landscape, fixtures between Vandor Vanguard and Chandrila BC remain highly anticipated and carry strong historical significance.
