Upbringing
|
Croi Varhoc Sudon was born and raised in Anchorhead, Tatooine, by his mother and father, Elise and Gershom Sudon. Fletcher, the primary income source for the family and long term resident of Anchorhead, owned and operated a mechanic's shop, and primarily serviced landspeeders, moisture vaporators, and other farm equipment. Elise, prior to her death in a Sand People raid seven years after Croi's birth, managed the household's hydroponic gardens as well as handling office work for Gershom's shop.
Raised by Gershom alone from seven years of age, Croi spent most of his time outside of school in his father's shop, where he began assisting his father with repairs and learning the trade, hoping to someday take over the family business. On his off hours, Croi took the family speeder with friends out to the nearby Jundland Wastes, where they would camp and hunt womp rats for sport.
Moving to Mos Eisley
The course of Sudon's life took a sharp turn, however, upon the death of his father in the as yet unexplained explosion of the family shop and home, while Croi was away hunting. As no proper law enforcement exists on Tatooine, no records exist of any investigation into the death. Without the chance or even expectation of making sense of his father's death, Croi created an account which blamed the Rebel Alliance for a terrorist attack on his father's shop.
Though not yet of legal age, the 14 year old boy then moved to Mos Eisley, where he lived with his uncle, the brother to his father, Ned Sudon. Ned also ran a mechanic's shop, and took on his nephew as an apprentice, where Croi worked and learned for the next five years. On Y13 D215, Croi finally commit to joining the Imperial Military, in the hopes that the deaths of his parents could be spared to others in a safer, more stable galaxy.
