Early Life

Coruscant - Bergmus' Homeworld.

Margo was born into a modestly wealthy family on the Imperial capital of Coruscant. Margo's father, Marteen Bergmus, was the secretary to a lesser official within the district. His mother, Julianelle Bergmus, was a teller for the Bank of the Core. His family made enough to live in the upper-middle levels of the Verity District, neighboring the Senate District, the administrative heart of the Empire. When he was 3, his sister, Anne Bergmus was born. His family's location and status allowed them access to safety and a good education.

Education & Early Adulthood

Like the majority of youth on Coruscant, Margo joined the Sub-Adult Group as early as he could, being only ten when he took his oath. During his time in the SAGroup, he developed skills in the fields of basic leadership, administration, management, piloting, and commanding. He focused his youth on developing his leadership abilities as well as growing his reputation among his peers, He would often volunteer to take charge whenever presented an opportunity. When Margo turned 15, he enrolled in a 3-year long prestigious Imperial Academy in a neighboring district. He struggled during his first year, maintaining only modest grades, but he picked up the slack during his 2nd year. Unfortunately, a lifechanging situation would occur right before his final year..

Catalyst

On the lower levels of a far off district, the family would make preparations to return home after a week long vacation. As they began boarding their homeward shuttle, they would be ambushed by a vicious gang posing as shuttle handlers. During the chaos, 14-year-old Anne would be taken. In the week that followed, the gang demanded a 30,000 credit ransom. The Bergmus family followed the gang's instructions, sending the credits while refraining from contacting law enforcement. In the following days, the girl would not be returned. Instead, they received a silent holorecording: Anne's body, chained in a dark cell, dead. The gang had killed her.

Aftermath

In the following weeks, law enforcement investigated the crime. They had found the cause of the killing while interrogating an alleged gang member. They never intended on returning young Anne. The gang feared she was a liability, and believed they could dispose of her without consequence. In the aftermath, Margo watched his family fall apart. His mother drowned in grief. His dad lost his charm, and became bitter and cold. Margo stopped seeking approval or praise. He silently worked through the loss, his focus sharpened. His piloting skills improved, the scope of his leadership widened. He focused on being useful instead of being liked, and by the end of his 3rd year, he had graduated with distinction. He received a commendation from his SAGroup Troop Commander, as well as the Dean of the academy he attended.

Imperial Service

Imperial Academy

A month after his graduation, and the day after his 18th birthday, he would enroll into the Imperial Academy on Prakith, arriving on Y26 D185. Upon arrival, he would begin studying under JTO Malachi Forfax. He finished the academy on Y26 D190, graduating with honors. He would be assigned as a Staff Member under the Regional Government, before joining his first unit, the Corellian Oversector.
