Purpose
The Ministry of Industry is tasked with the developing, producing, and maintaining the Empire's economic dominance throughout the galaxy. As the heart of the Empire's industrial department, the Ministry of Industry strives to make sure that the technology and infrastructure of the Empire is superior to all. The Ministry is led by the Minister of Industry, who is tasked with the overseeing of all the Ministry's departments, along with the Directors of R&D, Extraction and Production.
Formation
The Ministry of Industry, or, as it is commonly known, MInd, is the Empire's central coordinating industrial body, providing a communication platform for all the Empire's nationalized factions, which are the executive bodies. Minister Eric Zahm heads the Ministry of Industry with the help of Director Azhrarn Amaratha, Director Norrec Morussian, and Director Crueya Vandron. These Directors form the Ministry of Industry's command body, which efficiently runs the Ministry, and without whom the Ministry of Industry would not be the same.
The Ministry of Industry was formed to coordinate and streamline all aspects of Imperial production. Meaning without the Ministry of Industry, much of the galaxy's modern technology and advanced, hyperspeed-capable starships would not be as easily accessible by Imperials.
Formed to guard the safety of the Empire's Nationalized Factions, improve and safeguard their production capacity and increase production efficiency across the board. This basically means that the Mind brought all the Nationalized factions together and increased there efficiency as they are now part of a bigger chain of command. Also this helped provide many jobs to people who needed them.
Within the Ministry, there are 3 distinct and independent departments. The Directorate of Production, under Azhrarn Amaratha, oversees and coordinates the efforts of the NATs which produce goods for use by the Empire. The Directorate of Extraction, under Norrec Morussian, coortdinates the prospecting and mining of the Empire's mineral resources. Finally, the Directorate of Research and Development, under Crueya Vandron, coordinates the Empire's research into new and innovative technological fields.
What?
A Nationalized Faction, or NAT, is a production faction which is owned by the Galactic Empire, and which is run autonomously within the guidelines set by the Ministry of Industry.
