Character History
Childhood
Mara was born into a firmly middle class Coruscanti family. Throughout their adolescence they were shielded by their mother Jadoo from the abuses of her father Jayce. These protections became less effective over time as Jayce's ire began to turn on an increasingly rebellious and angry Mara. After a particularly vicious round of abuse by their father on their 16th birthday Mara fled home and took to the shadows of Coruscant's lower levels to subsist.
The Dark Times
Those first years in the depths of Coruscant were instrumental in developing Mara's opinions on life and the world around them. They quickly fell into a life of repairing other peoples machinery and vehicles to make ends meet, and performing the odd petty crime to fill in the gaps. It wasn't long before they were caught slicing into the wrong airspeeder and had to flee Coruscant. Using their learned skills Mara sliced into the pressurized cargo hold of the first outbound freighter they could find.
The Nomad Years
During the next ten years Mara drifted from System to System performing maintenance, repair, and test flights on various spacecraft and aircraft until the market dried up or something better came along. Eventually they found themself on the planet of Tatooine. Mara at this time simply presumed that their parents on Coruscant were dead, and it was at this moment that Mara finally felt the weight of the previous nearly 15 years of isolation and subsistence pressing down upon their chest. Mara realized that nobody should prey upon the weak and helpless and that there was only one body out there with the vision and capability of executing that vision. The Galactic Empire. And thus it was that on that day of Y24D288 Mara requested admittance to the Imperial Academy and set off to start a new chapter in their life.
