The 8th Imperial Fleet, commonly referred by its abbreviation 8IF or in naval environments just as "the Eighth", is one of eight fleets in the Imperial Navy. It is the newest addition to the Imperial Navy and is now considered a fully operational military unit. The fleet now has several missions under its belt and is beginning to build up its veteran ranks. The 8IF is still forming its identity as a unit and is an exciting place for new recruits and transfer pilots alike to contribute substantially to the Imperial Navy's latest addition.

History

Current Fleet Command

Commanding Officer

Fleet Admiral Zachary Savk currently serves as the Eighth's third Commanding Officer since formation after Rear Admiral Axe Vulcan. Commander Rann Van was the fleet's original Commanding Officer when it was originally formed on Y9 D274.

Executive Officer

Lieutenant Wilhelmy Quel-Sara currently serves as the fleet's fifth and latest Executive Officer. Was promoted to Lieutenant in july.

Chief of Staff

Ensign Aria Zarmer currently serves as the Eighth's Third in Command (3IC) and Chief of Staff. Was recently promoted to the post of Ensign on November 21,2009 during an Imperial Monthly Meeting.

Fleet Adviser

At the beginning of March 2009 Captain Draco Creed was assigned as the 8IF's first Fleet Adviser. CAPT Creed is also a Sith Lord. He brings not only the wisdom of long experience to the fleet but also the added security of having a Sith nearby.

Currently occupied by Command Flight Officer Jevan Katherion.

Fleet Members

Zachary Savk

Savk Enlisted in the Imperial navy at the age of 16c training in flight simulations and memorizing Imperial law to the very letter. As a Crewman, Savk made a vow to destroy all that is Rebel and holds the conviction that anything Anti-Imperial must perish. After all, if it were not for the Rebels and their pitifully destructive ways perhaps... No, *most certainly* he would not have had to turn his own parents in for their own good.

Aria Zarmer

Aria is the youngest daughter of a wealthy coruscanti family. She joined the Imperial Navy on Y9D301, right after graduating the University of Coruscant. Serving in the 8th since the first days of her military life, Zarmer has taken part in several missions: from patrols and recons on the Coruscant sector to great construction projects along with the government in Quolick. More recently, she has been assigned the CO of her own battlegoup and now leads necessary operations for the development of Dolomar. Aria also holds the position of Fleet Chief of Staff despite the fact she didn't make it to the Officer ranks yet. Other noteworthy achievments in her carreer include a Letter of Commendation, three mentions in Dispatchers and Honors graduate at the School of Engineering.
