Chief of Imperial Military Staff

The Chief of Imperial Military Staff is a position that was created under a reorganization of the Imperial Military by Emperor Seele. The position was retired following additional reforms in Y24 under Emperor Meridan, replaced by the position of Supreme Commander.


History

The position was created by Emperor Seele during his tenure as Emperor between Y18 and Y22. The first person to occupy this position was Lord General Arya Solus in Y22. The last to hold this position was Lord Admiral Hatori Hoorl in Y24.

Duties

The position can be occupied by either a member of the Imperial Army or the Imperial Navy and historically has been held by officers with a rank of HC-2, which means they are also member of Imperial High Command. This position is pinnacle of military service and not only serves as the highest authority in the Imperial Military, but also as an advisor to the Throne.
