The Chief of Imperial Military Staff was the most senior officer within the Imperial Military and was responsible for the administration, policy, training and logistics of the Imperial Navy and Imperial Army. The Chief of Imperial Military Staff was the principle advisor to the Throne and Imperial High Command on military matters, and was expected to consult on strategic and tactical matters as required.
