Katar Trilac is a 38 year old human currently in the service of the Ministry of Industry, and the Galactic Empire. He has had an eventful career, having served in many of the Imperial Navy's units. A dedicated Imperial, Trilac works hard to this day to advance the goals of the New Order. He enlisted in the Imperial Navy on Day 19, Year 6.

Biography

First Years

Katar Trilac was born aboard the the Old Republic cruiser Indomitable on year -16 day 18. His parents, Sarah Ravenwood and Uriel Trilac, both worked for the Republic Navy in its infant stages prior to the Clone Wars. His father was the Captain of the vessel and received special permission to have a relationship and marriage with Sarah, who was a specialist in charge of vessel repair and maintenance. Trilac was raised in a Navy environment, attending military schooling from an early age with other similarly born children. He showed an interest in space combat and naval warfare as he advanced through school and could often be found up late at night watching holo-recordings of old space engagements. When he came of age, after a tourist trip around the galaxy, he would enroll in the Imperial Navy.

Early Career

Upon joining the Imperial Navy, he went straight into service flying fighters on scanning missions. Skipping the usual training procedure common for most new pilots, Trilac was able to distinguish himself early as a capable pilot. His first mentor was Guinar Ndengin, who would continue to serve as an example he would endeavor to follow. During this time, Trilac served under one of the most prominent FCO's the navy has seen, Rawius Titan. The 3IF participated in two special operations ordered privately by the Emperor during this period. After a year of service within the 3IF, politics and a drive to better the Empire led Katar Trilac to follow his comrades in forming the NIO.

The Rise of the New Imperial Order

The path to founding the New Imperial Order was far from smooth. During this time, the majority of the Imperial Navy had their ships removed from their command and were locked out of most normal functions. A few officers were able to escape utilizing personal craft, but owning vessels you readily had access to was rare at this time. During Katar Trilac's escape, he was arrested by the ISB and was pending execution for the crime of desertion. Through the kind actions of Adam Zad, now a traitor from the Empire, Trilac was freed and was able to make it safety aboard a personal vessel of Guinar Ndengin. He would rendezvous with the rest of the NIO's new members in the Bothan Sector to found their new faction. Things would start of slowly, as the new group drew resources and allies to it. For months Trilac worked alongside his comrades with no pay and little benefits, even donating multiple squadrons of fighters to the cause. The NIO navy would be finally organized into three groups, the first of which would be Retribution Assault Group RAG, another Combat Group and a Logistics and support Group. Trilac would become GXO of first and would work there a long side his comrade Mika Noris. After a few months Trilac would be appointed to the NIO's Vanquish Prime Assault Group VPAG as it's GCO, the second of the two "Combat" Groups. As the Combat Group saw deployment, maneuvers and drills, Trilac learned the ins and outs of command; studying hit and run tactics, among others.

New Imperial Order Service under Emperor Cherokee

After over a year of work, the NIO was growing strong, and so was it's Navy. The allure and newness of the New Imperial Order attracted many recruits, while recruiting efforts by the NIO Imperial Center For Recruitment, which would come to be lead by Trilac, drew interest and attention away from Vodo's GE. With the array of new officers available, NHC elected to create fleets from the groups it had maintained since the start. Trilac would be appointed to command the 2nd New Imperial Order Fleet 2NIOF, which would take turns a long with the First defending the Bothan Sector from enemy attack. During the year that Trilac commanded the 2NIOF, the largest GE offensive against the NIO to occur would take place. Christened Operation Bulldozer BULLD, the operation would involve a full GE fleet deployed to invade and occupy multiple NIO sectors. Matching the GE forces move my move, forces of the 2NIOF were able to block their actions effectively and force their operation to end with lackluster results. After over a year of service, NHC assigned Trilac to the 1NIOF as FCO to relieve Mika Noris as he stepped down to retire from service.

Return to the Galactic Empire

Though the NIO's intentions remained noble, personal resentments and disagreements with command drove Trilac to reconsider his place within the faction. For over a year he had waited, along with the officers of the 2nd New Order Fleet, for the opportunity to scout abroad for glory and honor as the 1st New Order fleet had up until this point. Recognition upon recognition had been piled on the 1st NOF and its officers, something that Trilac quietly despised as he and his officers could do little but train and watch. With the 1st New Order Fleet's return, and Trilac's transfer there, he cheered his former comrades in arms on, as they embarked on the adventure that he had long waited for. Relegated to another year sitting in the Bothan sector, running the same drills and training operations he had had many times with his 2NOF comrades, and facing what we felt was a general lack of appreciation for his sacrifice from IHC, Trilac saw his career going nowhere. Attempting to engage with IHC he made several requests to "liven" up the activities his current command could undertake, but was repeatedly met with rejection from IHC and silence from a NHC which had sadly become complacent and inactive.

Frustrated with his assignment, Trilac attempted to find proper service outlets to fill the lack of action he felt he had earned with his year in the Bothan Sector. He worked with the ISB as a secret agent to help police and inform on the ever increasing officer pool of the NIO, and continued to develop new recruitment initiatives in his role as ICR Director. But, even the additional roles could not entirely distract him from the growing number of grievances he had with Command. Finally, reaching a breaking point during a particular terse encounter with NIO Command, Katar Trilac contacted Vodo's Galactic Empire and made arrangements to return to that fold. A change in scenery would be welcome, he considered, and then ADM Blackrain was quite overjoyed to see Trilac return.

Pride is often the downfall of many, and the price one pays for it cannot be overstated. There would be a cost, Trilac would learn, for his return to Vodo's Galactic Empire, as nothing certainly came free with that administration. The Galactic Empire would require Trilac to utilize his existing privilege's in the NIO to their advantage in a crass public relations stunt. Gathering several fighter squadrons, and the lead capital ship of the 1st NOF, he would dock them aboard an arriving ISD as a "confiscation action", as combat did not yet exist, and further, Trilac was required to execute retired ADM John Ramses, whom was inactive and aboard the vessel. While following the orders of GE Naval Command, he quietly ensured that no other NIO officers would be captured as part of the defection, and that no critical elements of the 1st NOF equipment, beyond its flagship, would be available for the taking.

Predictably NIO leadership decried Trilac's actions, calling him a petty thief, as the Galactic Empire cheered and welcomed their defecting officer home. In the welcoming ceremony upon his return to the GE, Trilac was hailed as a hero, and awarded the Navy Medal of Loyalty and the Navy Cross. Such glory, he would find, would be hollow and temporary. The Galactic Empire ground on and both of the "hero's'" awards would later be stripped from him, along with other ribbons and awards, upon the ascension of Emperor Cherokee to power during the GE-NIO reintegration.

Renewed Imperial Service under Emperor Vodo

Back and settled within the GE Imperial Navy, Trilac was assigned as a member of the 3IF. He quickly rose to GXO of Theta Group, and then GCO after a month. Again he had an opportunity to demonstrate his skills as a capable leader, and he worked hard to promote the careers of the pilots around him. Soon a Navy reorganization took place, which would change the overall structure of the individual combat units. Fleets were broken down back into solitary units without internal Combat Groups, as had been the fashion for several years. Originally assigned to the 4IF as a member of it's command staff, Trilac would transfer to the new 6IF commanded by his comrade and notorious Captain Adam Diggins. The 6IF had been created to serve as the special operations fleet of the Empire, just as the 3IF often had during Trilac's early career. 6IF would participate in several missions, including the Calaron Holdout Campaign which involved the blocking of enemy construction in that region. Trilac was appointed as FXO of the unit and later FCO after Adam Diggins retired from the Navy. He would finish his service in the 6IF by completing Operation Burning Heart, a mission of his own design, which involved invading and showing force within the New Republic's core systems. Having completed the mission, Trilac was forced to step down from his position of FCO, citing a grievous loss in his family.

Imperial Service under Emperors Cherokee and Seele

Returning months later, Trilac served for a time as the CoS of the 2IF. He would also serve as the Director of RADIN, a position at the time handled as a detached role. After several months he entered semi-retirement, but as usual soon found his way back to the Empire. Katar Trilac returned to service within the Imperial Navy attaining the position of GXO of the 11th Recon Group, and then GCO of the same. It was during this time he set his sights higher, as he spearheaded inter-branch operations with a focus on issues relevant to combat readiness and his former role as director of RADIN. He rose through the ranks, reaching the rating of Rear Admiral, before he took the post of Navy Logistics Officer, with a promotion to Admiral. For a year, he served in the logistics role as part of the four member Navy High Command council, formalizing and refining earlier fit out designs for gear, ships and units, while expanding on the lock installation protocols in place. Handing the position off to his worthy successor, Tracyn Gouka, he decided to give retirement another chance.

Imperial Service under Emperor Meridian

Like all broken records, Katar Trilac's service to the Empire was fated to re-occur, this time not mere months, but seven full years later. The Empire, and the Navy he knew having changed substantially, he was posted to the Ruby Joint Task Force for five months, and re-learned the ropes of operational command, technology and procedures. Finding it time to try something new, for the first time outside the military, he transferred to the Ministry of Industry where he remains to this day.
