The 1st Imperial Legion, also known to the Army soldiers as the "Immortals", is originally formed initial Army unit. Throughout the years, it has seen its fair share of action and many great commanders come and go. Today, the 1st Imperial Legion upholds the greatest traditions of the Army and the Empire, home to some of the most skilled and brave soldier in the Galactic Empire. Currently, the Legion is under the command of First Lieutenant Morcha Drayson.

Name and Motto

The First Legion is more commonly known as the Immortals within Army circles. This nickname origins from the pride of the Legion, the Victory-class Star Destroyer Immortal, which serves as the unit's flagship. However, the Legion earned its nickname by other means as well. Immortals are typically thrust into the heat of battle as the Empire's vanguard. Only their exceptional skills and courage allow them to survive the rigors of the beginning of a campaign. The members of the First Legion are said to never die, but simply go to hell and regroup. This rumor is the basis for their eternal moniker, which they wear with pride.

The Immortals' current motto, Live With Courage, Die With Honor, was suggested by one of its former COs, Ralkata Tyrran, when 1st Legion was under the commanded by CO Aurelius and his XO, Chan. It outstandingly reflects the life and combat style of all First Legion personnel, from commissioned Officers to NCMs. The Empire's enemies can be well assured that the First Legion has a well-deserved reputation of being absolutely relentless in striving to achieve battlefield supremacy.
