The 8th Imperial Fleet, commonly referred by its abbreviation 8IF or in naval environments just as "the Eighth", is one of eight fleets in the Imperial Navy. It is the newest addition to the Imperial Navy and is now considered a fully operational military unit. The fleet now has several missions under its belt and is beginning to build up its veteran ranks. The 8IF is still forming its identity as a unit and is an exciting place for new recruits and transfer pilots alike to contribute substantially to the Imperial Navy's latest addition.

History
Current Fleet Command
Commanding Officer
Admiral Savk currently serves as the Eighth's third Commanding Officer since formation after Rear Admiral Axe Vulcan. Commander Rann Van was the fleet's original Commanding Officer when it was originally formed on Y9 D274.
Executive Officer
Lieutenant Junior Grade Bryan Valoran currently serves as the fleet's fourth and latest Executive Officer. Bryan Valoran was transferred along with Admiral Savk to take over after Ensign Mekum Campbell's resignation.
Chief of Staff
Flight Officer Josef DeLaurel currently serves as the Eighth's Third in Command (3IC) and Chief of Staff. He was previously the interim Second in Command (2IC) until the appointment of Lieutenant Commander Veneslas Jerankav, and continues to serve aiding Admiral Savk and Lieutenant Valoran in their command duties.
Fleet Adviser
At the beginning of March 2009 Captain Draco Creed was assigned as the 8IF's first Fleet Adviser. CAPT Creed is also a Sith Lord. He brings not only the wisdom of long experience to the fleet but also the added security of having a Sith nearby.
Operations Adjutant
Currently occupied by MFSGT Aria Zarmer.
