Kaiden Halcyon, is a Soldier in the Imperial Army.

Early life and career

Halcyon was born in Coronet City, Corellia, the second eldest of Alenio and Rainee Halcyon; A Coronet City Firefighter and Nurse, respectively. His eldest brother, Finnick, serves as a physician in the Meridian sector. His two younger siblings, Kaicho and Leena, both reside in Coronet City. Their family descends from a long and established family line dating back to nobility under the name House Halcyon.

Following in his father's footsteps, Halcyon became a Coronet City Firefighter/Paramedic where he worked during his entire young adult life. It was here he met Senior Captain K`Crydon Katana, who would go on to be his lifelong friend. Seizing upon an opportunity to serve the Empire and ultimately become a physician, Katana left the fire department to enlist in the Imperial Army and Halcyon assumed the position of Sr. Captain at their station.

After working as a Sr. Captain for many years, Halcyon received a message from a lawyer acting on behalf of the estate of Katana, notifying him that Katana died of a sudden cardiac arrest. Katana grew up as an orphan on Coruscant before settling on Corellia and was only briefly married. As such, Katana left his assets for Halcyon in his will. Among the items there was a datapad containing journal entries, mostly of Katana's final years of service. It was here that Katana wrote about the many adventures he had been on, from his early years, his first term of service with the First Imperial Legion, and his time as a physician with Biotech and later Republic Medical.

Amongst all of his travels, Katana prided himself the most during the time he served in the Army, citing the bonds of brotherhood formed during combat, as well as the dozens upon dozens of star systems he travelled to.

It was these journal entries that inspired Halcyon to leave and serve in the Imperial Army.

Imperial Career

Leaving Coronet City and the Corellian system for the first time, Halcyon enlisted into the Empire on Y17 D231, and received a commission as a Second Lieutenant in the Imperial Army via a fast track program designed for previously employed civil servants on Y17 D233.

Accustomed to working in small teams, Halcyon choose to specialize in Reconnaissance where he is often tasked to move ahead of the forward line of troops (FLOT); gathering battlefield intelligence, performing shaping operations, and maneuvering to support the main effort, whether Infantry or Armor, in destroying the enemy.

After serving a probationary period, he was promoted to Major on Y17 D297 as a credit to his time in service as a Sr. Captain in the Fire Department.
