HUMBARINE (INB) — Agents of the Imperial Security Bureau (ISB) were left scratching their heads yesterday when a radicalized Mandalorian youth made a series of threats against the Galactic Empire, after transferring several thousand tonnes of raw materials destined for Kuat Systems Engineering factories from a storage station in the Mawan system. Imperial officials have since confirmed that Junior Workman Bel Vossn, who claims to be a member of the extremist Mandalorian sect known as the Breviin Crusaders, used his position in the Ministry of Industry to access a materials storage station in order to steal a fraction of the materials present therein.

"This has been a rather confusing case." Stated ISB-Major General Orikan, the Kuat Sector Liaison. "[Vossn] contacted many members of the Empire across a broad-range general frequency claiming to be a member of the Breviin Crusaders and that they had stolen several tonnes of raw materials as a protest against the production of the All-Terrain Armored Transport or AT-AT as it's more commonly known. Most of the materials stolen were cheap and easily found things like Meleenium and Duracrete, but the rarer and more expensive Lommite that he was responsible for delivering to the station was found all accounted for."

General Orikan continued to explain the situation. "After docking with the station, Mr Vossn transferred the Lommite into the station and then signaled for the Modular Taskforce Cruiser 'Indomitable' to dock and transfer 53 thousand units of Meleenium, 11 thousand units of Duracrete, and 23 thousand units of Ardanium. The Varium, Rock Ivory, Quantum, and Lommite remain untouched, and there still remains over two hundred thousand units of the other materials on board the station. We aren't sure why the Breviin Crusaders need to steal raw materials from Imperial stockpiles, but we are assuming that it means that the Krath Dynasty, the known puppet masters of the Breviin Crusaders, are running low on raw materials of their own."

With a recent political attack by the Breviin Crusaders against the Tresario Star Kingdom, this small Krath-founded and Krath-sheltered group has been failing to gain its desired notoriety amongst the galaxy for striking at anything they can that is related to the Imperial Union. Political analysts point to the emergence of single-issue, extremists groups like the Breviin Crusaders as examples of the willingness of dictatorial and oppressive regimes like the Krath Dynasty to take advantage of the fracture points of Mandalorian clan culture and beliefs, in order to manipulate young and easily mislead minds.

Professor Helghatz, specializing in Cults at the Coruscant Institute of Psychology, uses Bel Vossn as an example of how the young mind has been twisted. "What we see in this case is the quintessential example of a young, eager mind being corrupted by the preaching of a violent, absolutist and totalitarian Mandalorian culture to try and inspire them to sacrifice their lives in a war they don't comprehend. Meanwhile they have been given no real training, no real guidance, and instead of acting like warriors as heralded by the Mandalorian mythos, they act exactly like a criminal syndicate stealing whatever they can. A far cry from the noble and powerful warriors they proclaim to be."

"This is the kind of blind faith and radicalism that the galaxy needs to be very wary of, and most of these people appear oblivious to the obvious conclusion that their strings are being pulled by the likes of the Galactic Alliance. They are fed dreams of freedom, claim to be fighting an oppressive regime through decrying weapons like the AT-AT and are indoctrinated into mystical and romantic notions of ancient Mandalorians. What they fail to see however is that their own funding and leaders are part of an absolute dictatorship which spawned from a group of pirates. You really have to understand that people like Vossn live with a cognitive disconnect between the idealism that they imagine to be a part of, and the reality of who and what they are. They just don't see that they commit petty crimes for their puppet masters like Max and Togl; that's the real evil here, in that they are manipulated and whipped into a frenzy to become the very thing they're convinced that they're fighting against."
