- "Faithful unto death."
- — The Staghorn Family motto.
Beric Cædmon Staghorn was an Imperial Officer currently serving as a full-time member of COMPNOR. He held the rank of Secretary, and the positions of both Acting Director of RADE, as well as Dean of Imperial Basic Training. He has since retired back home to Eriadu where he dedicates all his time in pursuit of his twin passions of hunting and reading. Several months following his retirement from Imperial Service he joined Elaine von Veritrax running the Corvus Group.

Early Life and Adulthood
- "Son, the first lesson of life is that it is hard. It is unfair. However, you are ahead of most. You are a citizen of the Empire. Remember that."
- — Reginald Staghorn
Beric was born on the Imperial capital planet of Coruscant, the first son of Reginald Staghorn, an officer of the Imperial Navy, and Yvana Staghorn, a stay-at-home mother. His was a happy childhood, as his family historically inhabited the upper levels of the megapolis, which was largely free of crime or hardship. Beric was a quiet child, who was doted upon by his mother, and wanted for nothing, but he was also held to high standards by his father. Reginald was a no-nonsense man, a loyal Imperial subject, and a successful disciplinarian. On the one had, he instilled values of loyalty and industriousness in his son from a young age, and as such Beric began to be molded into a young patriot, with strong belief in Imperial values. On the other hand, Yvana also left her mark on young Beric, and he grew to be a quiet and pensive teenager. Once Beric was of age, Reginald took him flying for the first time. It was then that Beric learned that he had a natural aptitude for the art of flying, and it became one of his favorite pastimes.
However, tragedy struck the Staghorn family. What was to be the joyful delivery of a second son, immediately turned into the heart-wrenching loss of a beloved mother and wife. Elric Staghorn was born Year 8 Day 33, with Yvana dying shortly afterward. Beric withdrew into himself after the death of his mother, and as a dutiful son, helped raise Elric.
His father threw himself into his work in the Imperial Navy to deal with his own grief, and was frequently away from Coruscant on assignment. With his newfound responsibility Beric postponed applying to the Imperial Academy, instead getting a job at the Imperial Archives, while he attended classes at the University of Coruscant. He worked there for several years, and continued to work there even after Elric came of age, graduating with a bachelors and masters degree in history. It was at the university that Beric grew to appreciate physical media, such as books.

However, with all of his affection for the intellectual life, he grew tired of reading about the achievements of those who had served the Empire. He craved action, and for that reason joined the Coruscant Security Force, and he received his wish though not in the way in which he expected. Beric was assigned to the Undercity Task Force, an assignment considered so treacherous that officers' uniforms are designed for anonymity. It was in this assignment that he truly learned the nature of the galaxy, that there is the potential for tremendous cruelty in hearts of sentients. More importantly, he learned that there are innumerable forces that seek to destroy the Imperial way of life, and often times it is right under the noses of everyday citizens. He served in this capacity for several years, and became proficient in the use of blasters and urban tactics, anything to make Coruscant the jewel of the Empire.
His service drew the attention of his superiors who suggested that his tenacity and drive were better suited for the Imperial Academy. It brought to mind the lessons of duty that had been instilled in him from an early age by his father, the will to do his part in realizing the Emperor's vision of a unified galaxy. A new fire had been kindled, and with Reginald's blessing, he shipped out for Prakith
- "Fealty, Fidelity, and Service"
- — Motto of the Imperial Academy
Beric's time at the Imperial Academy was a formative time for him. It has been so recent that there has not been adequate time or experience to shed light on how his time on Prakith has influenced his life as a servant of the Empire. However, what can be said is that Beric excelled at both his studies, and the more practical components of Imperial Basic Training. It was here that his newfound drive for relevance and meaning found its outlet. After graduating his training officer, TO Auberin Jaxson described Beric as "quick, enthusiastic, and a pleasure to work with," and it was with those words of praise that he began his Imperial career.
It was a crushing blow to Beric's pride that he scored only 1.5% below the minimum requirement for graduating with honors, but instead of wallowing in self-pity Beric allowed his disappointment to strengthen his resolve by bringing honor to himself by his actions.
Another surprise was the nature of Beric's assignment. It was his expectation that he would graduate from basic and join the Imperial Navy, and so follow in the footsteps of Reginald as a pilot. However, when it was time to request his branch, TO Jaxson presented Beric with a interesting opportunity. It was then that he was told that Regional Government was in need of dedicated and responsible personnel. Beric took this as a challenge. The son of a true patriot, Beric knew that there were times in which the Empire demands sacrifices of her people, that the desires of the individual were not above the needs of the whole. With that on his mind and in his heart, Beric requested to join the staff of RGOV, and he was promptly assigned to a region at the rank of Junior Superintendent.
Dossier: Beric Staghorn
If there is one word that best described Beric's personality, that word would be amicable. In general he is a friendly and helpful person. However, when it comes to the completion of assigned duties, he can become ruthless in carrying out orders to the letter. Dedication and fidelity are what drives him, and that is exactly what he expects from those who work with him. It is due to these qualities that Beric has soared through the ranks, his greatest accomplishment being his appointment as Dean of Imperial Basic Training with less than a year of service, as well as Acting Director of RADE.
Beric is a staunch believer in Imperial supremacy and the ideals of the New Order. For him, a dominant voice is needed to guide all sentient beings to their greatest potential for the greater good, according to their means and ability. That voice is the voice of the one who is seated upon the Imperial Throne in Coruscant. During his travels as Logistics Manager in the Emerald and Ruby regions, Beric caught word of a faith known as the Zhellic Ecclesiarchy. He had heard of them having grown up on Coruscant, but looked more deeply into it. As Beric studied the tenets of the Faith, he became evermore convinced of its truth. It is a Humanocentric faith, nothing like the vainly invented, vapid alien cults spread across the galaxy. And Coruscant, formerly known as Notron, is a holy place, the cradle of Humanity, with the Imperial Throne being divinely instituted. Of course, Zhellic doctrine has challenged Beric's view of certain Class B citizens, however, the Faith has succeeded in further entrenching Beric's Humanocentric and Imperial views, especially in the age of alien terrorist organizations such as Sanctuary Prime.
With his background in specialized police work, one would have believed that Beric would have been assigned to the Imperial Army. However, that was not to be. He had become a man of ambition, and when his TO, Auberin Jaxson, spoke of the need for dedicated and competent Imperials in the Regional Government, Beric knew that was where he needed to be. In fact, it was a fortuitous time to graduate from the Academy, as the Empire was in thick of the war for the Hosnian system. After waiting for what seemed like an eternity, he received his first assignment, the Hosnian System itself.
It was in Hosnian that Beric was assigned to aid in █████████ ██████████████████ ███████████████. After that he assisted in overseeing the construction of ████████ ██████████ ████████████ ███████ working with an interbranch task force consisting of ██████ ███████ as well as ██████████ ██████ to complete Operation ██████████. In recognition of his achievements he ███████████████ ███████ █████████ ███████ ██████████.
It was during his time in the Corellian Oversector that Beric began to be noticed by notable Imperials in high positions. He was given evermore increasing responsibilities, and headed several governmental projects. It was the determination of his betters that his talents and drive were not being adequately utilized in his current assignment, and it was then that he was inducted in the service of COMPNOR.
