Personal History
Serris Nemor was born on Corulag, to Jairi (Tulken) Nemor, a housewife, and Ardkan Nemor, a leading Corulager economist. He had a comfortable childhood, as Corulag's proximity to Coruscant and several trade routes meant that he had access to anything he could possibly want. Ever since he was young, he would spend his nights looking up at the stars, imagining the far-off worlds and people he would hear about from off-world pilots. This, combined with the strong sense of law and order instilled in him growing up on a world so near to the center of the Empire, made his desired path very clear. Not so clear was finding his footing along that path - after graduating from formal schooling he spent several years working various jobs, not staying in any one job or location too long, before bumping into an old friend of his father's, who was able to get him an appointment to the Imperial Academy.
Imperial History
Serris was accepted to the Imperial Academy on Year 14 Day 194, graduating a week later on Year 14 Day 201. He performed extremely well on his exams, finishing with a final grade of 95%, earning an Honors Graduate award and immediate promotion to the rank of Flight Corporal in the Imperial Navy.
After his assignment to an Imperial fleet, he quickly rose through the ranks, being promoted to the rank of Flight Sergeant and earning his first command in just under two months after his graduation and gaining the rank of Master Flight Sergeant two months after that.
Shortly after his promotion to Master Flight Sergeant, he was selected for a secretive program; upon successfully completing said program, he was advanced to the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade.
Serris continued his distinguished service in the Navy after his promotion to Lieutenant JG, earning commendations for his hard work and dedication to the protection of the Imperial citizens of his sector. He has continued to advance through the officer ranks of the Navy, being promoted to Lieutenant 2 months after his successful program completion, Lieutenant Commander 5 months after that, and then to the rank of Commander another 11 months later. He continued serving with distinction, and eventually earned promotion to Captain. During his time as a Commander, he began thinking about his future in the Navy. After much thought, he decided that he wanted to move into a group command position and, after a few applications and soon after his promotion to Captain, was appointed as the Executive Officer of the 6th Group of the 6th Fleet. He was serving in this position when the 6th Fleet was deactivated in a Naval restructure and the 6th Group was folded into the 2nd Fleet, making him the Executive Officer of the 6th Group of the 2nd Fleet. While serving in this position, his CO was wounded in the line of duty and forced to take medical leave; after a short time as Acting GCO, his promotion to full-time Group Commanding Officer and promotion to Commodore was confirmed by NCOMD. He served in this role for several months until the position of 3rd Fleet Commanding Officer became vacant. Along with several other highly-qualified individuals, Serris put in an application for the position. He was pleasantly surprised to be offered the position, accepting it and a promotion to Admiral with little hesitation. He served in this position for a little over a year, before his desire grew to explore the greater galaxy, ultimately leading him to retire from Imperial service.
Civilian Life
As a civilian, his life was much slower paced than he expected, as he did not have the same access and sense of purpose as he did in the Navy, limiting his options. Outside of trips to his homeworld to visit family, as well as some sightseeing/shopping trips around the galaxy, he was not particularly active and soon grew bored with civilian life. Just as he was considering his options, the news arrived on the holonet - the war was over, and the Empire had triumphed. After seeing this news, Serris caught up on the Imperial goings on during his retirement, particularly the Battle of Hosnian, after grieving for the friends lost in an engagement he narrowly escaped himself he decided to return to active Imperial service.
Return to Service
After deciding it was time for him to return, Serris notified the appropriate Imperials about his intent to return. This request was closely reviewed, and upon its approval, he was assigned the rank of Senior Captain in recognition of his prior service and positions. After his return to service, he served with distinction and, after 5 months back, was selected to fill an open position as the Executive Officer of the 9th Group of the 1st Fleet. Within weeks of his appointment, his GCO made the surprising announcement of his resignation. Due to his prior command experience, Serris was the logical choice to take over the post, and resumed his prior rank of Admiral upon assuming the position.

While he does not have much time for personal pursuits, Serris enjoys building his collection of personal ships, the oldest of which he has owned stretching all the way back to his days as an Enlisted man in the Navy.
