The 3rd Imperial Legion is an Imperial Army unit that was created during the Army restructure of Year 8. The unit quickly established itself as a key unit of the Emperor's Army, having overcome turbulent trials, and has since served the Empire with great skill and dedication. Its under the command of Captain Nathaniel Durane.

Name and Motto

The name of the 3rd Imperial Legion used to be the Shadow Guards before Legion nicknames were transferred to the Brigade level. The Legion prides itself in its proficiency in covert operations, and this is reflected in their old Legionary motto: 'Fear what lurks in the Shadows'. With the transfer of the name 'Shadow Guards' to 3BDE, the Legion's assault brigade, the Legionary motto was also tranferred to the unit as well.

3rd Imperial Legionnaires specialize in doing quietly what the other Legions do with gusto, that is: preserve Imperial law and order, while destroying the enemy's will to fight the Empire. Their modus operandi more than often makes them the unsung heroes of the Imperial Army, but they are appreciated for their excellent record of service to the New Order nonetheless.

3BDE is currently under the command of BCO Command Sergeant David Kraill, and his BXO is 2nd Lieutenant Mark Scott.

6th Brigade, the Pathfinders

6BDE is currently under the command of BCO 2nd Lieutenant Ikurei Serper, and his BXO is Command Sergeant Devon Krotan.

Ben Sereta

Ben Sereta was one of the best Brigade Commanding Officers of the 3rd legion to date. He is a strict CO and always expects the best of his men. He show great leadership and is a great strategist and always gets the job done. He inspires all that follow him to be the best they can be. A member of his BDE said it best when he said "LT Sereta is the 3rd Legion"
